The Brothers of Discussion discuss the Women’s Battle Royal

Both brothers believe that Asuka is going to take this thing, but is it possible that Ember Moon could steal it away? Here is a transcript of the Brothers of Discussion conversation on WrestleMania 35’s Pre Show match.

WrestleMania 35 - Women’s Battle Royal

Mike: [01:02:35] We have the women's Battle Royal (Rumble). What's on the line in this match? A uterus shaped trophy. [01:02:46][10.7]

Matt: [01:02:46] Yeah. [01:02:46][0.0]

Mike: [01:02:49] We have a couple confirmed entrants. You know Asuka, Carmela, Naomi, Mandy, Sonya, Naoki Danna Ruby, Liv, Sarah Mickie and Selena Vega. [01:03:02][12.8]

Matt: [01:03:03] Yeah. [01:03:03][0.0]

Mike: [01:03:06] I think. It's always really difficult to pick against Asuka just because she's the best and she only loses to Charlotte seemingly and Charlotte is nowhere near this battle royal. Soooooo I'm gonna have to go with Asuka and I'm a little a little ashamed but proud of myself that I realize this name was missing. I don't see Ember Moon. I don't remember getting any boo boos and she's still not mentioned. [01:03:35][28.9]

Matt: [01:03:36] She does have a boo boo right now. [01:03:37][1.2]

Mike: [01:03:38] Oh No. [01:03:39][0.4]

Matt: [01:03:39] But you know the likelihood of her being in this match is probably ninety nine percent so she'll be she'll be fine. You know how they do this. These these battle royal matches so have everybody walk out together and then they'll have Ember Moon's Song start and everybody will go nuts. One hundred people that are in the stadium for the preshow. [01:04:00][21.8]

Mike: [01:04:01] Yeah well hot tag for...uh...Before we hear your prediction: is this a spot where you either introduce (Just to kind of plant that seed), Marina Schaefer Jessamyn Duke or Shayna Baszler. [01:04:14][13.4]

Matt: [01:04:15] Oh. You know I I would not do it myself but if you're asking me "can I imagine the WWE doing it?" Absolutely. Absolutely. For me no I would not do it. I would keep them far away. I don't want to highlight how bad they are at Pro wrestling. Not Shayna but just keep Shafir.... [01:04:40][25.6]

Mike: [01:04:43] They're pretty pretty green. [01:04:44][0.8]

Matt: [01:04:44] Yeah. They don't look super great. [01:04:46][1.8]

Mike: [01:04:46] If they were bananas at Meijer, I would not buy them. [01:04:49][2.6]

Matt: [01:04:49] Just like put your mind back in that you know, The Royal Rumble setting and you have Kyrie and Io come out and they can almost disappear because they're so good. You're not gonna notice how bad they are and that's right.

That's what you're trying to fill the ring kind of deal so I can imagine them being in the battle royal. But yeah I think that would be a huge mistake. But I'm also agreeing with you Mike. I think this is Asuka.

I think they showed on Smackdown that they're backtracking. Hey how about how about another fucking women's match. Like I said - like I god damn said - was gonna fuckin happen.

They just completely take her... Like this she's not even a preshow right. You know she doesn't have the championship now. Now she's on the preshow. She's in the match (Battle Royal) that was already going to happen with or without her. [01:05:45][55.7]

Mike: [01:05:48] There would have been multiple spots for these women. It would have been a women's Battle Royale winner, would been Asuka holding a belt. She would have had a one on one opponent and then he still. Could have still had Charlotte, Ronda, & Becky at the main event. [01:06:00][12.8]

Matt: [01:06:01] It's just it's absolutely ridiculous to me that the conversations that probably happened where.

*Vince McMahon Voice* Well I mean our main event is all women. So what do we need another women's match for?

Like how do you how do you argue against that conversation happening? Like who could tell me right now that that did not happen. There's no way they said that because that is, a thousand percent, what happened.

And we'll get into it later.

But I will tell you right now Mike…after Monday and seeing the cops thing go down... You did not need Charlotte flair to hold that goddamn title.

There's so many different ways to have Asuka lose instead of a 10 minute squash. And believe me, a 10 minute squash exists when you know what's going to happen (and the reasoning behind it).
